Byron Neiles

Executive Vice President, Corporate Services

Byron Neiles was appointed Executive Vice President, Corporate Services in May, 2016.

Mr. Neiles has oversight of several Enbridge service organizations including Technology & Information Services, Human Resources, Real Estate, Supply Chain Management, and Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability.

Mr. Neiles co-chaired the organizational integration after Enbridge’s $37B acquisition of Spectra Energy through 2016-2017 and has held numerous leadership roles with its Corporate Office and with Toronto and Edmonton based Liquids Pipelines and Gas Distribution business units ranging from Major Projects, Customer Care, Legal & Regulatory Affairs, Safety & Reliability, Environment, Lands & Right of Way and Public Affairs and Communications. Prior to joining Enbridge in 1994, he was a Policy Advisor to two Canadian federal energy ministers in Ottawa, and held corporate affairs roles with an electric and natural gas utility.

Mr. Neiles is co-Chair of the annual Global Business Forum at Banff, and recent trustee of the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa and Makadiff Sports Foundation. Additionally, he has been an active volunteer with numerous community based health, social services and performing arts organizations.

Mr. Neiles holds an MBA from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business, a BA in political science from the University of Regina, and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Mr. Neiles lives in Calgary with his wife Lisa and their three daughters.
