Sediment samples are being collected weekly along Talmadge Creek, the Kalamazoo River and Morrow Lake. Sample data is used to evaluate and monitor for possible impacts from the oil spill.
The sediment sampling process includes the collection of the sample, laboratory analysis, and data verification to ensure high quality data. These steps take up to 14 days to complete before the data can be posted on this website. Sediment sampling results are not representative of current conditions but rather is a snapshot in time for a given location. Enbridge will continue to take sediment samples and post data as it becomes available.
